Budget Bill Plan

Manage your cash flow with Budget Billing.

Throughout the winter and summer months, most PECO customers will use more energy for heating and cooling. As your usage rises, so do your energy bills. PECO offers Budget Billing to shield your business from seasonal variations in your bill.

Here's how Budget Billing works...

  • The concept is similar to an escrow on your mortgage, taxes, or insurance.
  • We'll charge you the same amount every month all year long, based on your energy use during the prior 12-month budget cycle.
  • Adjustments are made every 4 months, if necessary.
  • At the end of twelve months there is a true-up charge or credit applied. If you have used more than what you've been charged for, the difference will be added to your account. If you use less your account will be credited the difference.
  • We adjust for any major changes in your usage patterns and can make minor adjustments to your bill every quarter. We do this so you are not charged or credited a substantial sum at the end of the year.
  • Your budget plan will begin with your next bill.  In order to go on the budget plan your account must be paid up to date.
