Promoting cultural events

In a city well known for its history and culture, PECO has long been an enthusiastic supporter of special events and activities that promote youth leadership, diversity, literacy, and individual / community development.

PECO Multicultural Series at Penn’s Landing

Since 1995, PECO has been proud to celebrate Philadelphia’s diverse ethnic heritage by sponsoring the PECO Multicultural Festival.  From June through September, the Multicultural Series offers a variety of culturally rich events with a chance to explore the world without actually traveling.  All events are free and take place on the Great Plaza.

Historic Philadelphia

Historic Philadelphia

The history of our country comes to life through a new experience offered by Historic Philadelphia, the organization that oversees the PECO-sponsored Lights of Liberty program.  Unveiled in September of 2010, the revised Lights of Liberty experience features a groundbreaking new attraction, Liberty 360, a 360-degree 3-D look at our country's struggle for independence.  This presentation is featured in the PECO Theater at The Historic Philadelphia Center.

Philly Fringe Festival

PECO is a proud sponsor of the Philadelphia Fringe Festival, an annual 15-day festival that provides a unique venue for local performing artists to present exciting new work in dance, theater, music, comedy, puppetry, poetry and visual arts.  The festival is focused on a young and diverse demographic.
