Important for Gas Service Applications:

PECO requires that our gas customers enter into an agreement prior to the installation of PECO owned gas facilities. 

  • Any gas work downstream of the meter is the responsibility of the customer or their contractor representative.
  • Any installations downstream of the meter must comply with the International Fuel Gas Code or local township building and fire codes. 
  • All requests for new gas loads must also be reviewed for capacity. 
  • Do not install any new gas fired appliances without first consulting with a PECO representative.
Planning a new construction project? You can submit your request for construction or remodeling related services and develop a smooth plan from start to finish using our portal. The New Business Portal is a free service available to those planning new construction projects, regardless of whether or not you’re a PECO customer or have registered for online access to your account, all you need is an email address to monitor your request’s progress.

All work must comply with PECO Electric Service Requirements and be inspected by an approved inspection agency (City of Philadelphia requests may be shared with Licenses & Inspections). 

Not all service voltages are available in all areas. Before purchasing electrical equipment or proceeding with any wiring, information regarding service availability and meter location should be obtained from the company.

A credit application and agreement must be completed if the customer has not had PECO service within the last 60 days. The company reserves the right to cancel this request if no further communication is received from the customer within 90 days of PECO’s response date.
