PHILADELPHIA (February 18, 2014) – Ron Bradley, vice president of PECO Gas Operations, has been honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2014 Black Engineer of the Year Awards (BEYA) STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) Conference held on February 8, 2014, in Washington, D.C.
This annual conference honors those who demonstrate outstanding performance and will shape the future of STEM industries. The Lifetime Achievement Award is given to one individual annually who has attained considerable industry achievements and demonstrates leadership in STEM.
Bradley, a 28-year veteran of the natural gas, electric and generation industry, has held numerous positions at PECO and PJM Interconnection. In addition to his significant industry accomplishments, Bradley also has worked to advance STEM education, serving as a mentor for the Philadelphia Regional Introduction for Minorities to Engineering program for 10 years.
"It's an incredible honor to be recognized by my peers and to receive the BEYA Lifetime Achievement Award," Bradley said. "I applaud all BEYA award winners for their leadership in STEM fields and the work they have done to develop the next generation of industry leaders."
The BEYA STEM Conference continues to bring together students, college administrators, recruiters, engineering and IT professionals, scientists, and high-level decision-makers from the corporate, government and military communities in an effort to broaden diversity in this country's technical and scientific work forces.
