John McDonald Named Senior Vice President and COO of PECO

PHILADELPHIA(April 9, 2018) – PECO President and CEO Mike Innocenzo announced today that John McDonald has been named as the company’s new Senior Vice President and COO. McDonald returns to PECO after serving as Vice President, Utility Integration at Pepco Holdings for nearly three years. Pepco Holdings serves as the parent company for Atlantic City Electric, Delmarva Power, and Pepco; and are also owned by PECO parent company, Exelon Corporation.

During his more than 35-year career, McDonald served in various leadership roles at PECO and Exelon including, Vice President of Technical Services, and director-level roles in Distribution System Operations, Transmission and Regional Electric Operations.

In his most recent role, McDonald oversawthe project management initiative responsible for integrating Pepco Holdings into the Exelon organization. Key areas of focus included merger commitments, synergy savings, utility operations and reliability enhancements.

McDonald serves on the boards of the Business Leaders Organized for Catholic Schools (BLOCS) in Philadelphia and Drexel Neumann Academy in Chester City. He also serves as one of PECO’s co-leads for the annual Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Light the Night Walk.
