Award-winning regional leader will help the company continue to power the diverse communities it serves across Greater Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (August 24, 2023) — PECO, Pennsylvania's largest electric and natural gas energy delivery company, today announced the appointment of Michelle Hong, co-head of the Philadelphia office at Northern Trust Wealth Management, to its board of directors.

"Michelle is a highly respected leader in Philadelphia, and I'm confident that her financial and legal expertise will complement the board's existing mix of skills and experience."

Hong is co-head of the Philadelphia office at Northern Trust Wealth Management, where she leads business strategy and execution for the practice. She has over 20 years of experience working with business owners, corporate executives, and multigenerational families on complex trust, tax, and charitable giving matters. She has worked with numerous private foundations and public charities on matters relating to governance, compliance, and institutional advancement. Hong started her career in private legal practice at Simpson, Thacher & Bartlett in New York City and at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius in Philadelphia.

Hong also serves on the boards of Main Line Health, the Committee of Seventy, WHYY, and the National Association of Corporate Directors (Philadelphia). She is a prior Board Chair of Philabundance and has served on numerous other nonprofit boards and committees.
Hong joins current PECO Board Members Nicholas Bertram, Flashflood President and COO, John Grady, Wexford Senior Vice President, Sharmain Matlock-Turner, Urban Affairs Coalition CEO, and former Philadelphia Mayor Michael A. Nutter.
