PECO Launches EVsmart Program to Help Customers Explore the Benefits of Electric Vehicles

PHILADELPHIA (February 7, 2020) – As the electric vehicle (EV) market evolves and customers' needs and desires grow with it, PECO has launched its EVsmart Program, which features an interactive, online EV toolkit that allows customers to research the benefits and advantages of owning an EV.

The digital toolkit provides a wide variety of interactive features for customers who are looking for more information on electric vehicles. Customers can test drive the new tool at this year's Philadelphia Auto Show, where they can:

  • Calculate the savings potential of owning an EV, including monthly savings based on personal commuting pattern
  • Calculate carbon reduction for environmental savings
  • Research available EV and Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) options
  • Review available EV chargers
  • Access a map of public charging stations
  • Identify potential tax incentives
  • Discover special incentives and promotions

"As part of our transportation electrification efforts, we continue to promote the use of electric vehicles with our customers through rebates and other programs designed to support the build-out of the electric vehicle infrastructure in Pennsylvania," said Mike Innocenzo, PECO president and CEO. "Our new toolkit is another way for customers to learn about EV options in our region and how PECO can help make their EV goals a reality."
